Uwe Horn new PR Manager at d&b audiotechnik

With immediate effect, Uwe Horn takes over responsibility for worldwide public relations at Germany's high-quality loudspeaker systems manufacturer d&b audiotechnik. Horn is appointed head of the PR team which is located at company headquarters in Backnang and in Nailsworth in the UK. To date just one person has been responsible for public relations and marketing communications. Now d&b has split these responsibilities.

"Apart from our leading position in the field of high-quality pro-audio systems for the touring business, we have also achieved substantial expansion in the installation sector over the past few years. We now intend to back our strong international growth with a market-based and targeted PR work," says d&b CEO, Amnon Harman. "The main tasks in the area of PR are to communicate our brand values and the change process as we develop from a loudspeaker systems manufacturer to an audio solutions provider," explains Harman.

Over the past 35 years, d&b has grown from a garage start-up to the world's leading manufacturer of professional sound systems. In addition to mobile applications for small to large-scale events, live concerts, etc., d&b sound systems are increasingly used for permanent installations in stadiums, theaters, concert and event halls.

Horn has long-term experience as communicator for international companies in industry, consultancy, and the media. "In my new task at d&b audiotechnik, I can pursue my passion for premium industrial products, and, as an audiophile, also indulge in my passion for music and sound reproduction." Before joining d&b, Horn was head of corporate communications at the medical device manufacturer Maquet. Before that he held several senior positions at Porsche Consulting, Roland Berger, Sparkassen-Versicherung (Savings Banks Insurance) and Reader's Digest in Stuttgart. Horn earned his first professional stripes as local editor of the Böblinger Bote local newspaper.
