dbUpdate

dbUpdate is a software program used to upgrade the firmware of a single d&b D6, D12 or E-PAC amplifier from a personal computer running Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.

To update D6 and D12 amplifiers two programs are needed: the D6-D12-dbUpdate program and the separate Firmware Installer which contains the most recent firmware versions. Download both ZIP files from the Programs table below to the computer and follow the instructions given in the 'Firmware update installation guide' from the Documentation table below. Once the D6-D12-dbUpdate has been installed on a computer, future versions only require the installation of the latest firmware.

The E-PAC-dbUpdate includes the latest firmware version. Download the ZIP file from the Programs table below and follow the instructions given in the 'Firmware update installation guide' from the Documentation table below.

All relevant release notes and amplifier software manuals are also provided in the Documentation table.

The R10 Service software for personal computer platforms enables the upgrade of up to 63 amplifiers simultaneously from a central location via the d&b Remote network using a Controller Area Network (CAN) field bus. This software can be found in the Support/Downloads/Remote section of this website.

A complete explanation of the d&b Remote network can be found at Systems/Remote/Network.
