Five hundred, a d&b audiotechnik milestone.

Backnang, 10.07.2018.  d&b audiotechnik GmbH in Backnang, one of the world's 
leading companies for professional audio solutions, recently appointed its five hundredth co-
worker. Max Sperling (34) officially became the five hundredth co-worker when his name was 
drawn from among the new co-workers who started working for d&b at the beginning of July.
Sperling is an assembly co-worker in Loudspeaker Production, and a trained industrial 
mechanic.

"We are delighted to have you as new colleagues," said CEO Amnon Harman in welcoming 
the new d&b recruits: "Whether in Production, Sales, Development, IT, or other departments, 
those who join d&b will find here all the opportunities which a regionally based and 
international operating company can offer. You made the right decision to join d&b." 

Max Sperling has known d&b since October last year when a recruitment agency placed him 
with d&b as a temporary worker. "The atmosphere is excellent and my work is very 
enjoyable," said Sperling. His hard work was highly appreciated, which resulted in d&b 
offering Sperling a permanent position which he happily accepted: "I have nothing but praise 
for d&b."

Jürgen Daubert and Rolf Belz founded d&b audiotechnik in a garage in Korb thirty seven 
years ago. When d&b moved to the site of the former spinning mill of Eugen Adolff in 
Backnang in 1989, the company only had slightly more than twenty co-workers. The 
continually expanding headquarters of d&b now covers an area of more than twenty five 
thousand square metres. The workforce in Backnang alone now numbers over four hundred 
people. "d&b regularly sets international standards, a fact which is primarily due to the 
attitude and skill of our co-workers," said Harman. In 2017 alone, d&b recruited more than 
ninety new co-workers. "It is great to see how quickly new colleagues identify with their work 
and the company, and share our passion for creating the world's best sound." 

With over five hundred co-workers, d&b is now formally regarded as a large enterprise. It is 
the fifth largest employer in Backnang. However, that's just a look at the figures. The feeling 
from the start-up phase is still being continued in the spirit of enterprise. "In spite of all the 
changes on a demanding market, many things at d&b are still the same as in the past in the 
garage," said Harman.
