The third annual Audio Pro International (API) Awards, held in association with NAMM, has named d&b audiotechnik’s xS and xA-Series New Installation Product of the year. Presented in two parts, Live and Installed, and Studio and Broadcast, the awards cover sixteen categories and are given to the person, team or organization responsible for providing sound products, either for hire, record production, sound system installation, or broadcast services.
Following an open nomination period, five finalists per category were named in the July / August edition of Audio Pro magazine. Winners were announced during the PLASA show in London in September, after a panel of experts from across the industry, assembled to judge the leading contestants.
“We were overwhelmed with the volume of nominations we received for the awards this year,” said API editor Daniel Gumble. “It’s clear they are now firmly on the pro audio calendar. Huge congratulations to all the 2011 winners.”
