Should you have any further questions regarding the handling of your personal data, please do not hesitate to contact our data protection officer, whose contact details you will find below.
The constant technological development, changes in our services or the legal situation as well as other reasons may require adjustments to our data protection information. We therefore reserve the right to change this data protection declaration at any time and ask you to inform yourself regularly about the current status.
Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, no personal data is collected, processed or used when using our websites.
When you access our webpages, our web servers automatically collect general information. This includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service provider, the IP address of the computer used, the website from which you visit us, the pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit.
This data cannot be used by us to identify the individual user. We only evaluate the information statistically and use it exclusively to improve the attractiveness, contents and functionalities of our websites.
Definition of personal data
The term personal data is defined in the German Federal Data Protection Act. According to this, these are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your real name, your address, your telephone number or your date of birth.
In the basic EU data protection regulation (DSGVO), personal data are defined as follows:
All information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Legal basis for the collection of personal data:
Insofar as we obtain your consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of your personal data.
When processing your personal data to fulfil a contract between you and d&b audiotechnik, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.
Data erasure and storage time
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.
Collection and processing of personal data
Personal data is only collected if you provide it voluntarily, for example to carry out an order, a survey, a competition or a registration for personalised services. There you will be informed about the intended purpose of processing and, if necessary, asked for your consent to storage.
The personal data collected within the framework of our websites will only be used without your consent for order processing or processing your enquiries and, if necessary, passed on to the responsible company. Only with your consent will your data be used in a centrally managed customer and prospective customer database managed under the responsibility of d&b audiotechnik, and your data will be merged at d&b audiotechnik. If this involves information on communication channels (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), you also agree that we may contact you via this communication channel in order to respond to your request.
You can of course revoke this consent at any time in the future. Please contact our data protection officer, whose contact details you will find below.

External service providers and partner companies only receive your data if this is necessary to process their request. In these cases, however, the scope of the transmitted data is limited to the required minimum. As far as our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure that they comply with the regulations of the data protection laws in the same way. The respective service provider is responsible for the contents of external services, whereby we check the services within the scope of reasonability for compliance with legal requirements.

So-called cookies are used in some areas of our pages. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard drive by a website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. The cookies on our Internet pages do not collect any personal data. We use the information contained in cookies to make it easier for you to use our pages and to tailor them to your needs.
Both session cookies and permanent cookies are used on our site. Session cookies are temporary cookies that are stored in the user's Internet browser until the browser window is closed and the session cookies are deleted. Permanent cookies are used for repeated visits and stored in the user's browser for a certain period of time (usually 1 year or longer). These cookies are not deleted when the browser is closed. This type of cookie is used to reuse a user's preferences when they return to the site.
Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of your browser. You can delete saved cookies at any time in the system settings of your browser. You can find out how this works in detail from your browser manufacturer's instructions. However, we would like to point out that our website may only be of limited use without cookies.
We use plugins from the provider Vimeo for the integration of videos on our website. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC, headquartered at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011.
When you access the web pages of our website that are provided with such a plugin - for example our media library -, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established and the plugin is displayed. This transfers to the Vimeo server which of our Internet pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a Vimeo member, Vimeo will associate this information with your personal user account. When using the plugin, e.g. clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo account and deleting the corresponding Vimeo cookies before using our website.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Vimeo as well as your rights in this regard and the setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the Vimeo data protection information: https://vimeo.com/privacy
This website uses Google Analytics. In accordance with the agreement between Google and the Hamburg Representative for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Google Analytics may be used in accordance with data protection regulations and without objection under certain conditions. In particular, we would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended to include the IP masking function "_gat._anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee anonymous recording of IP addresses via the Google Tag Manager.
Please also note the following information on the use of Google Analytics:
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
Once remarketing and promotional reporting features are enabled in Analytics, Analytics collects demographic and interest data from the following sources:
DoubleClick cookie: Analytics collects all demographic and interest information made available by the cookie when you use the web browser.
Android Advertising ID: When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an Android app, the device's advertising ID is collected. Analytics generates an identifier based on the ID. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an iOSApp, the device's IDFA is captured. In Analytics, an identifier is generated based on the IDFA. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
Analytics cannot collect demographic and interest data if the DoubleClick cookie or device advertising ID is not present or no activity profile is included.
Alternatively, you can also prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you have to click this link again.
As a smartphone or tablet user, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting cookies by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your information from being collected in the future when you visit this website: Disable Google Analytics.
This website uses the function "Google Signals". The Google Signals advertising feature is designed to provide additional information about users of the site who use different devices. Google uses data from users who have signed in to their Google Account and enabled the "personalized advertising" option. This information will be used to provide aggregate and anonymous statistics about the behavior of users of this site across multiple devices. No user IDs are assigned, the reports do not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of individual visitors.
If visitors to this website are logged into their Google account, Google may be able to identify these visitors. In addition, Google may use the user data for the display of personalised advertising if the user has previously consented to this function. If you do not wish this to happen, you can deactivate this function at any time in the Google settings (https://adssettings.google.com/). Alternatively, you can make use of the extensive opt-out option of the advertising network initiative (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1).
Double Click AdExchange
We use Doubleclick Ad Exchange, a web ad service of Google Inc, USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google"), advertising (text ads, banners etc.) on our website. Cookies may be stored in your browser. The information stored there can be recorded, collected and evaluated by Google Inc. or third parties.
In addition, Doubleclick Ad Exchange also uses "web beacons", small invisible graphics, through which visitor traffic on the website can be recorded, collected and evaluated, to collect information. The information collected in this way about your use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses it to analyze your usage behavior so that it can serve targeted ads via Doubleclick Ad Exchange. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. If IP addresses are transmitted and stored, this only happens to combat and filter spam/fraud.
However, this data is only accessible to the anti-abuse teams. Google does not associate the IP address with other data stored by Google.
Remarketing or "similar target group" function of Google Inc.
This website uses Google's Google AdWords remarketing or "similar target group" function. This feature is designed to provide targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising to users of our site and other users with similar interests based on their online user behavior when they visit other sites on the Google Display Network or perform a Google search. When our advertisements are displayed on these sites, we receive information about how often our ad was viewed, how many clicks and visits were generated by a particular ad, and what content was viewed when you clicked on an ad on our site.
Cookies are used to record visits to the website by means of a unique identification of a web browser on a particular computer and not to identify a person. All data is stored by using a pseudonym, so that a conclusion on the person of the user and thus a personal identification is not easily possible.
Further information on Google Remarketing or "Similar target groups" can be found at: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2676774?hl=en.
In order to draw attention to our services, we place Google AdWords ads and use Google Conversion Tracking and the Google Tag Manager for the purpose of personalised, interest- and location-based online advertising. The option to anonymize IP addresses is controlled by the Google Tag Manager via an internal setting that is not visible in the source of this page. This internal setting is set so that the anonymisation of the IP addresses required by the German Federal Data Protection Act is achieved.
Ads appear after searches on Google Network web pages. We have the possibility to combine our ads with certain search terms. Cookies enable us to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to our website.
With the help of this technology, Google and we as customers receive information that a user has clicked on an ad and has been redirected to our websites. The information obtained in this way is used exclusively for statistical evaluation for ad optimization. We do not receive any information that personally identifies visitors. The statistics provided to us by Google include the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and, if applicable, whether they were forwarded to a page of our website with a conversion tag. On the basis of these statistics we can trace the search terms for which our advertisement was clicked particularly often and which advertisements lead to contact by the user via the contact form.
The information obtained in this way is transferred to our CRM system via the Google ClickID via an interface (Web to Lead).
If you do not wish to do so, you can prevent the storage of the cookies required for these technologies, for example via the settings of your browser. In this case, your visit is not included in the user statistics.
However, we and Google continue to receive statistical information on how many users visited this page and when. If you do not want to be included in these statistics either, you can prevent this by using additional programs for your browser (for example, the Ghostery add-on).
Google Data Studio
We use Data Studio, a service of Google Inc., USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google") on our website.
Data Studio uses personally identifiable information provided through the other Google services mentioned here and used by us to help us create reports, graphs, and charts, and to provide us with an opportunity to collaborate with them.
Google Tag Manager
For reasons of transparency, we would like to point out that we use the Google Tag Manager. The Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personally identifiable information. The Tag Manager makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. Tags are small pieces of code used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behavior, capture the impact of online advertising and social channels, set up remarketing and targeting, and test and optimize websites. If you have made a opt-out, the Google Tag Manager will take that opt-out into account. For more information about the Google Tag Manager, click here: www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html
Monotype Web Font
We use Web Fonts from Monotype Imaging Holdings, Inc. a Delaware-based company headquartered in 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 USA, to consistently display certain fonts on our website.
When you visit our website, your browser connects to a server that downloads the fonts you need directly from Monotype to display them correctly on your device. Personal information is not collected in any way. The use of Monotype Web Fonts is necessary to ensure a consistent typeface on our website.
We use the service "bit.ly" by Bitly Inc., 139 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10010, USA to shorten long URLs. Information on the processing of your data by bit.ly and the possibility of opting out can be found at https://bitly.com/pages/privacy?lang=en
This website uses PiwikPro, an open source software for statistical analysis of user access. PiwikPro is a self-hosted web analytics system. We store your user data via a first-party cookie. "Cookies" are text files that are stored on the user's computer and enable an analysis of the use of the website by the user. The information collected by a cookie about the use of this offer is stored on our servers in Germany. Your IP address will be anonymized immediately after processing and prior to storage. d&b and its subsidiaries around the world may use this statistical data to determine the attractiveness of the individual pages of the website and to improve their performance and content. However, no query or storage and forwarding to a third party takes place.
We use social plugins from various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) on our website.
The plugins allow you to share and comment on content. You can recognize the plugin by the individual logo of the social network.
Under certain circumstances, personal data can also be transmitted to the providers via the plug-ins. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the website. We therefore have no influence on the amount of data collected with the help of the plugins.
To prevent unwanted data transfer, the plugins on this website are deactivated by default. Only with a click on the respective symbol the plugin is activated and data can be transferred to the provider. Activating the plugin establishes a connection between your browser and the social network server. The plugins can of course be deactivated at any time
If the plugins are activated, information such as your IP address, a message that you have visited our site and other browser-related information is already transmitted when you call up our page.
If you are logged in to the respective social network, this information can be assigned to your account. If the plugin is active, it sends information regardless of whether you are currently logged in or have an active account. When you visit our website, a cookie is stored in your browser which stores this information and transmits it to the social network the next time you visit it.
We offer you the possibility to log in via an existing social media account (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, Xing, Youtube) through our website. In this case, you do not need a new user name and password to register.
You will be forwarded via the respective button (Login with Facebook, Login with Twitter) to the website of the social media provider and requested to authenticate yourself with your user name and password. If you are already logged in, this step is not necessary. You will then be informed of the data and authorizations we receive from the respective provider. If you agree, confirm this by clicking on the button "OK" (Facebook), "Authorize App" (Twitter). Finally, you will be automatically redirected back to us and can use our services.
If you log in via a social media provider, your IP address will be transmitted. In addition, the respective social media provider is informed about the access to our site; furthermore, an assignment to the respective user account can be made. Whether personal data is also transmitted depends on the data protection regulations of the respective provider.
Advertising and campaigns via social media
If we carry out advertising and campaigns via social media, we would like to point out that we have no influence on data processing in the social networks. If we collect data from you there, the data will only be collected for the purpose for which you have provided it to us.
In order to carry out our online surveys, we use the QuestionPro tool from QuestionPro GmbH, Friedrichstrasse 171, 10117 Berlin, Germany. Participation in the surveys is voluntary by clicking the URL provided. The information from your survey will be sent in encrypted form to the survey administrator and will be transferred automatically to our CRM system.
d&b audiotechnik uses technical and organizational security measures to protect your data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
