New compact amplifier with integrated audio networking will deliver the d&b difference to a wide range of installations.
With the goal of making high-quality sound systems available to a broader range of installations, German audio technology and solutions company d&b audiotechnik has introduced the new 5D installation amplifier. The 5D is a four channel DSP amplifier featuring integrated audio networking and flexible output power sharing — all within an ultra compact design.
This newest addition to the d&b family, which will be on display for the first time at ISE 2022 in Barcelona, addresses a broad range of installation projects, ensuring more people around the world can experience the dynamic performance and unrivaled power of d&b’s technology solutions.

Ultra Compact Design (1 RU x 9,5”)
The 5D features a high-density form factor, with a 1 RU 9.5 inch footprint. The amplifier is the perfect size to drive smaller loudspeakers and can be mounted under tables or ceilings as well as in a rack, allowing d&b to serve a greater number of installations—no matter the size or needs of the venue.
Its compact 4-channel design means the 5D is particularly convenient for the set-up and deployment of small Soundscape systems.
Integrated audio networking
The 5D is the first d&b amplifier with integrated Dante networking. This feature allows for flexible system configuration changes and convenient deployment of decentralized system designs — once again ensuring that a d&b system will provide the scalability, flexibility and reliability needed for today’s installations.
Cost Effective
The 5D amplifier improves the affordability of a d&b system, opening up d&b technology to more projects around the world, both small and large.
