German government delegation to visit newly-expanded d&b Backnang headquarters

d&b is proud to welcome a delegation of German government officials, including Baden Württemberg State Secretary of Trade Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Mayor Maximilian Friedrich, and Dr. Inge Gräßle, to its Backnang Headquarters on Wednesday, August 4. The visit comes at the completion of a 40.000 sq. ft expansion of the d&b headquarters, which currently employs over 450 individuals.

Backnang has been the home of d&b since shortly after the company’s founding, in 1981. While d&b has expanded greatly over the years—currently operating in 70 countries with seven offices globally—the majority of d&b products continue to be designed, manufactured and quality tested in Germany.

During the visit the delegation will meet with d&b executives including d&b Group CEO Amnon Harman, who will discuss d&b’s growth plans in Germany and beyond, how they coped during the worst of the pandemic and the industry outlook.

We are delighted to welcome the government delegation to Backnang. The community, the infrastructure and the location of Backnang has made it an excellent home for d&b for nearly four decades. The town is economically and logistically attractive for international businesses like d&b, and we are proud to showcase our new facility which will add even more value to the Backnang community. I appreciate the opportunity to discuss the outlook of the live events industry in Germany, an industry which has not yet reopened and is still in a difficult position. Together we can plan on how best the delegation can assist in the recovery of an industry that has suffered greatly as a result of the pandemic.Amnon Harman

d&b audiotechnik has always been committed to designing, manufacturing, and delivering only the highest-quality professional audio products. The improvements to the d&b facility enable d&b to significantly optimize the workflow throughout the entire site and better manage the production of future product technologies. This will result in shorter lead times, strengthen d&b’s ability to deliver custom solutions, increase flexibility, and allow d&b to better cater to the needs of different markets and applications. Ultimately, this new facility means d&b can maintain the highest standard of product quality while also improving output efficiency, thus ensuring its ambitious global growth plans beyond 2025.
