d&b audiotechnik provides quality sound to Si Cuisine & Mixology.
Hanoi’s vibrant nightlife scene is the toast of Vietnam, with world-class venues emerging onto the scene. Si Cuisine & Mixology is at the centre of the action, mixing sumptuous surroundings, live music and DJs under the sharp eye of owner Mr Trung. Tung insisted on a class-leading sound solution to attract the city’s ‘it’ crowd. d&b audiotechnik partner Stage Professional Company Vietnam was asked to specify a full sound system for the large and luxurious space, opting for the d&b xS-Series.
When it opened in January 2019, Si Cuisine set its sights on customers seeking fine dining, cocktails and an energizing playlist of house music, hip-hop and R’n’B. In addition to background music during the afternoon and live DJs in the evening, the sound installation also needed to serve a program of live music events.
“One challenge of the space was that the layout made it difficult to position the loudspeakers so that every position could hear the same sound quality, but with the xS-Series, we solved that with the amazing power of each loudspeaker. The xS-Series is designed to be unobtrusive, with slim dimensions. All models feature rotatable horns that enable the loudspeakers to be deployed in either orientation, making them ideal for restaurant and bar installations. Furthermore, they can be custom color-matched to blend with their surroundings.
Mr Nguyen and his team installed d&b 12S, 10S and 5S loudspeakers. These are, supported by d&b B6 18-inch subwoofers and powered by three d&b 10D 4-channel installation amplifiers. All visible elements are custom-finished in a deep burgundy color – chosen by Mr Trung to perfectly complement the décor (and reportedly to match the color of his favourite pair of shoes!).
“The first word that Mr Trung shared with us after he listened to the system was, ‘Perfect’. He was delighted that all areas within Si Cuisine experience the highest sound quality,” said Mr. Nguyen.
