Klimawin BW: Sustainability Report.
By signing the WIN-Charta – an initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg – d&b has been committed to economic, environmental, and social responsibility since 2018, developing a comprehensive understanding of sustainability.
Since January 2024, the WIN Charter has been further developed and replaced by Klimawin BW. Klimawin BW is a management and reporting system for companies of all sizes and industries in Baden-Württemberg that operate in a climate-conscious and sustainable manner. By signing Klimawin BW, d&b commits to adhering to the twelve guiding principles, reporting annually on corresponding measures, and continuously developing and transparently presenting its sustainability and climate protection activities.
Klimawin BW builds on the principles of the WIN Charter and has been further developed, particularly considering the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) of the European Union. It provides a comprehensive framework for structured reporting on climate protection and sustainability measures, even though it does not fully cover all CSRD requirements. As such, it represents an established instrument for transparent and comparable sustainability reporting and is already used by more than 300 companies in Baden-Württemberg.
Participating companies report annually, based on the twelve guiding principles, on their progress and measures in the areas of sustainability and climate protection. In addition, each company supports a local, non-profit project, thereby contributing to sustainable development in the region.
Klimawin BW is based on the principles of voluntary commitment, individual initiative, and transparent external communication, thereby strengthening the integration of sustainability into corporate activities.
